The Great Migration moves through the Serengeti on a seasonal loop (see our live map); calving is Jan–Feb on the southern plains, and the dramatic river crossings are roughly Jul–Sep. Dry season (Jun–Oct) is prime for general game viewing. We’ll time your trip to what you most want to see.

A yellow-fever certificate is required if arriving from or transiting an endemic country, and most of Tanzania is a malaria area, so antimalarials are commonly advised. Always consult a travel-health professional before you go.
