We have travelled a great deal and rarely felt so genuinely looked after. The pacing was perfect, never rushed, and our guide read the bush like a book. Watching the crater wake up from the rim is something we will not forget.

They timed everything around the river crossings and it paid off completely. We sat above the Mara as thousands of wildebeest poured across. No website prepares you for the sound of it. Faultless organisation from first email to last.

Travelling with a 7- and 10-year-old, we worried about long drives. We needn’t have, the private vehicle and the shorter days made it. Our guide was endlessly patient and turned every sighting into a story. The kids are already asking to go back.

Summited Uhuru at sunrise on day seven. The slow Lemosho route and the extra acclimatisation day made all the difference, our whole group made it. The porter team was extraordinary and clearly well treated, which mattered to us.

The combination is genius, a week of adrenaline on the plains and then the gentlest landing on the coast. Stone Town with a local historian was a highlight we didn’t expect. The villa on the east coast was pure indulgence.

The balloon at dawn with Champagne in the middle of the Serengeti, and then a private villa with our own chef in Zanzibar. They thought of details we didn’t know to ask for. The most romantic two weeks of our lives.

A wonderful trip with superb guiding and beautiful camps. The only reason for four stars rather than five is one long transfer day, though they had warned us in advance and made it as comfortable as possible. Would book again.

I came for the migration and left having fallen for the whole country. The mobile camp moved with the herds so we were always in the middle of it. Conservation-minded, locally rooted, and quietly luxurious. Exactly what I’d hoped for.

Calving season on the southern plains, newborn wildebeest everywhere and predators never far behind. Intense, moving, beautifully handled. The transition to Zanzibar afterwards was the perfect exhale.

Three generations travelled together and they catered to all of us, my parents in their seventies and my daughter who is six. Thoughtful, flexible and warm at every turn. A genuinely special trip for all of us.
