Overview
The Northern Circuit is the classic Tanzanian safari and the best introduction to the country. It links the great parks of the north, Tarangire, Lake Manyara, the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater, into one journey, and gives you the finest chance of seeing all of the Big Five: lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino.
What the journey is like
Over a week or so we move you through parks that each offer something different: the elephants and baobabs of Tarangire, the tree-climbing lions and flamingos of Manyara, the endless plains and big cats of the Serengeti, and the extraordinary density of the Ngorongoro Crater, where the Big Five can be seen in a single day. Private vehicle, private guide, and camps chosen for their position.
When to go
The dry season from June to October is excellent across the circuit. The green season is quieter and beautiful.
